To serve domestic and international journalists who came to work during the DPRK-USA Summit the International Media Center (IMC) officially went into operation on February 26.

 

The Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) has been selected as the telecommunications service provider for the second DPRK-USA Summit, including the International Media Center.

 

With the strength in telecommunications and IT services, it has experience in deploying services for international events, infrastructure preparation, quality assurance and service transparency , ensuring network information security is being implemented by VNPT at the highest standard.

 

 

 

Ensure information security at the International Media Center (IMC)

 

Besides, VNPT also has ready the contingency plans according to different physical directions and replacement devices; build scripts to ensure information security in all situations: network attack prevention, reporter's device access protection, DDoS protection for Internet lines.

 

VNPT also strengthens mobile 3G / 4G broadcasting stations to ensure communication in the areas around the Press Center, along the route through the union, enhance public wifi, 3G / 4G mobile in the central area ..

 

In addition to providing telecom services, VNPT is the official unit to undertake the service of receiving international television signal broadcasting via international optical cable network, direct satellite reception and equipment supply. satellite television broadcasting receivers ... fully meet the demand for television signal transmission of all international news agencies serving television news about the event.

 

Talking to VTV reporter, Lee Sangho, Director of Gobal News, South Korea emphasized: "When we came to the Press Center, we were very happy because we are a news channel broadcasting on the Internet. Wifi is great here. Other facilities are also very good, I think more than 3,000 reporters here will be impressed with what Hanoi and Vietnam have done".
